Saturday Morning Show

Saturday mornings haven't been the same since Michael Bird and Scott Adcock joined forces in 2011.  Lively discussions on the topics of the day, feel-good upbeat music, and interesting guests and callers are all part of THE SATURDAY MORNING SHOW.  Each week's highlights include the trivia questions for 1220 Cafe and Subway.  Listeners are rewarded for their knowledge of pop culture and entertainment with terrific meals from these two eateries.

Scott Adcock has a long history in journalism and media.  Notably, he served as a reporter for WSFA-TV 12 (Montgomery), WBRC-TV 6 (Birmingham), and WDHN-TV 18 (Dothan), as well as a disc jockey for various radio stations in the Dothan market.  While at Channel 12, Scott received the honor of Associated Press "Reporter of the Year" for a story he presented on WSFA in 1986.  After leaving broadcasting, Scott later moved into state government, working for Gov. Guy Hunt and then as the lead public relations officer for state EMA (Emergency Management Agency).   Scott is married to Dee Dee Adcock, and they are members of East Tallassee Church of Christ.

Michael Bird was a band director for 20 years, most of that time at Southside Middle School in Tallassee; currently, he is one of the choral directors and general music teachers at Tallassee High School.  Since 2005, he was written a weekly opinion column in the TALLASSEE TRIBUNE called, "Bird's Eye View".  Michael has always worked Saturday mornings on the radio, at WTBF-AM 970 and FM 94.7 (Troy), WACV-AM 1170 and FM 93.1 (Montgomery), and now Tallassee.  Michael is married to Sena Thibodeaux Bird and has seven children: Michaela, Miriam, Abbey, Danielle, Gregory, Lydia, and Norah Grace.  The Birds are members of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
